Description
Egmond Weizen
Egmondse Weizen is a fantastic abbey beer brewed in the German style. In short, with 50% barley malt and 50% wheat malt. After the beer is poured into a beautiful Egmondse beer glass, a lovely white head forms. Moreover, it has an alcohol percentage of only 5%. This is in keeping with the authentic German tradition of Weizen beers. When you swirl your glass briefly, you will smell the aromas of clove and banana. Because two aromatic hop varieties were added during the brewing process, a pleasant bitterness is present. All in all, a deliciously subtle Weizen beer from the Egmondse Brewery. We recommend drinking Egmondse Weizen at a temperature of 5 degrees Celsius.
Sancti Adalberti Brewery
All Egmond beers are brewed by the Sancti Adalberti Brewery. This brewery has been located in Egmond aan den Hoef since 2018. Although the brewery has close ties with the abbey, it remains highly independent. A donation is made to the abbey annually from the proceeds of beer sales. The brewery has since made several investments to achieve its target volumes. In total, Brouwerij Egmond possesses a brewhouse with a capacity of 2500 liters, 10 fermentation tanks, and its own bottling line. Just like many other breweries, Sancti Adalberti relies heavily on volunteers. Every year, many German tourists visit Egmond aan Zee. When they are thirsty, they regularly visit the brewery's tasting room. With the Egmondse Weizen, Brouwerij Egmond certainly has a fantastic beer on its hands. Just like the other Egmond beers!
