Primaat is a Dry Hopped IPA with a hoppy character. With an alcohol percentage of 6,5%, this beer certainly cannot be called heavy. When pouring this IPA , you see a light orange beer with a beautiful white head. Various fruity aromas rise from your glass. With your first sip, you taste notes of resin and pine. This keeps the beer nice and fresh. Due to the addition of various American hops, a dry yet bitter finish applies. The carbonation is, however, quite noticeable. We recommend drinking Primaat at a temperature of approximately 6 degrees Celsius. An ideal beer to drink with your buddies!

Brewery Het Maatje

Brouwerij Het Maatje is a beer brewery from the North Holland village of Heemskerk. This brewery was founded in 2018 by four mates: Jasper, Patrick, Dennis, and Garikai. The brewery stands primarily for friendship and conviviality. After all, isn't drinking beer something you do with your mates? De Primaat is the first commercial specialty beer released by the brewery. For this, they utilized the facilities of the Noord-Hollandse Bierbrouwerij in Uitgeest. This beer was intended to be a thirst-quenching beer that you should be able to drink with your friends at any time. And they succeeded! Ingredients Primate

The four buddies have been drinking beer together for years. Around 2017, the men started dreaming about brewing their own beer. After a lot of experimentation in the kitchens, the boys had to give in in 2018. The first commercial beer is a fact: Primate. By experimenting with as many different ingredients as possible, the most surprising flavors come to the fore. Ultimately, the following ingredients were used in the brewing process:

• Water
• Various malts (Pale Ale and Caramout)
• Various American hops (Columbus, Simcoe and Ahtanum)
• Gist
• Sugar for the refermentation in the bottle
